O Sovereign Majesty…O Sacred Mystery
O sovereign majesty, Thou inhabiteth eternity;
yet, as Immanuel-Love, deign to comest and abideth with us.
By Thy Spirit, draweth us nigh unto Thee; makest us holy
that we, apart from worldly ways, mayest be and do as Jesus.
O sacred mystery, Thy thoughts o’er ours soar high.
Thy ways surpasseth and confoundeth our ways.
By Thy Spirit, draweth us unto Thee nigh
that we, as Thou art, may spend our days, alway.
 Based on Isaiah 57.15 (For thus says the high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite) and Isaiah 55.8 (For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord).
